Plainview Winter Parking Enforcement

Hard to believe November is almost here, and with the promise of snow at some point, the Plainview Police Department is reminding everyone about winter parking enforcement.

Beginning Sunday, November 1^st through April 1^st, between the hours 2 am and 7 am or until streets are plowed from curb to curb during or following any snow fall which accumulates over 2 inches, it’s unlawful to park, or permit any vehicle or trailor to remain parked upon any alley or street.

In the event of a continous and/or substantial snowfall, a city-wide “snow emergency” may be declared.

It’s unlawful to park on any city street until such time the snow emergency is rescinded.

Violation of the Winter Parking Ordinance will result with a $100 parking ticket.
