Wild Wings Plaza in Lake City, 2101 Highway 61 South, is hosting the 1st Annual Community Tree Decorating Party, Food and Toy Drive Charity Event on Sunday, December 7th.
The event runs from 1-4 pm and will feature free cookies and hot chocolate with Santa and the kids can help decorate trees.
The community can help by volunteering to help decorate trees and box up gifts and ornaments, drop off non-perishable food items, dog and cat supplies and donate new or gently used toys.
Now through Saturday, December 13, beautifully decorated trees will fill the event center, each one created with love by local families, businesses, and volunteers. Donations of trees + decorations can begin anytime.
Then on December 13, everyone is welcome to stroll through the Festival of Trees.
Admission is free — they simply ask guests to bring a non-perishable food item, pet supply, or Christmas gift to support local food shelves and community organizations.
After the festival, each decorated tree (with boxed ornaments) will be gifted to families in need beginning December 14.
