Wabasha SeptOberfest 2025

The city of Wabasha is gearing up for the 18th annual SeptOberfest, a two-weekend celebration of fall featuring family activities, live music, seasonal displays, shopping, and more.

Held across the weekends of September 27–28 and October 4–5, the event draws thousands of visitors to Wabasha and neighboring Kellogg.

The festivities kick off Saturday, Sept. 27 with early morning yoga at Beach Park, followed by a community pickleball tournament, an outdoor market, and a free children’s concert by The Jolly Pops at the Riverfront Outdoor Amphitheater.

Families can enjoy train rides, face painting, and entertainment at Heritage Park, including live music by Logan Hoftchulte. Adults can take part in a fall-themed make-and-take porch pot class, while kids can try their hand at salad spinner art.

Other highlights include pottery wheel demonstrations at Local World Gallery, line dancing at The Front Porch in Kellogg, happy hour at the Pioneer Club, and a ticketed food tasting event, “Taste of Wabasha,” at the National Eagle Center.

On Sunday, Sept. 28, Anchor Point Church will host a worship service on the main stage at Heritage Park, followed by all-day kids’ games and an afternoon family festival at Beach Park.

SeptOberfest continues the following weekend with more fall-themed fun. On Saturday, Oct. 4, visitors can enjoy crafts with the Miss Wabasha Queens, face painting, clowns, and the popular Doggie Dash, hosted by the Hiawatha Animal Humane Society.

That afternoon features a free root beer garden and a kids’ dance party, plus additional pottery demos.

The festival wraps up Sunday, Oct. 5 with a joint community worship service, pumpkin decorating, and the crowd-favorite Pumpkin Derby at 1 p.m.
