The Wabasha County Board of Commisioners recently voted to execute a contract with LHB Corp. of Duluth for the Facility Assessment Consultant position, at a base price of $67,300.
Wabasha County issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) in January for a comprehensive Space Needs Study and Facility Assessment.
The main study objectives include evaluating the current condition of the Old Courthouse Annex, the Social Services/Public Health Building, and the Criminal Justice Center to identify current and future space requirements and develop efficient, customer-centered workplace solutions.
According to the Plainview News, the County received multiple proposals in response to the RFP. Firms were selected for initial interviews following an administrative review of the qualifications, project approach, and cost structures.
Based on the interview process and the specific requirements of the RFP, specifically regarding facility assessment, space programming, and long-term strategies, it was recommended that LHB Corp. should be selected for the Space Needs and Facility Assessment.
