Wabasha County Sherriff Rodney Bartsch says scams these days can come from a variety of sources.

Online, emails, telephone calls, text messages and even door-to-door.

Bartsch says often it may involve private information or pictures you may send to someone who may not be who they pretend to be.

Bartsch says if the scam involves a married man things can get costly and it’s best to just admit you have made a big mistake and try to limit the damage.
