Wabasha County Commissioners recently approved a project agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The Plainview News reports the agreement is for participation from MnDOT in excavation to improve sight distance for southbound Highway 63 at the intersection of County Highway 15 and Highway 63.
Wabasha County applied and was approved for local partnership program funding for this project for participation in costs of construction.
The agreement formalizes the State’s participation in the project costs and other terms.
It will include estimated revenue of $315,000, and $310,000 for proposed project costs, for a total of $625,000.
Project bids have not been received, but the project costs are expected to be mostly paid for by the amount of the revenue, according to information in the County Board’s meeting packet.
