The Wabasha County Commissioners recently approved a resolution to authorize and sign a Minnesota DNR 2024 Federal Boating Safety contract.
According to the Plainview News, the reimbursement grant is for $5,500.
The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office is required by the State to provide water patrol.
This grant provides overtime reimbursement to offset additional costs in association with water patrol during periods of high watercraft use, and helps keep waterways safe by allowing additional enforcement and patrol.
The grant period runs from the date of contract signing through September 2, 2024 (Labor Day).
