Last week, Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Supervisor Brian Sylvester awarded 911 Dispatcher Todd Baab the Public Safety Communications Training Officer of the Year Award at the annual Minnesota Sheriff’s Association 911 Conference.
Baab started his Law Enforcement career as a patrol officer and then came to the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office to help them dispatch and later became a Jail Sergeant.
According to Sheriff Rodney Bartsh, Baab has helped their new employees learn how to dispatch correctly for years without any added compensation.
He adds Baab is one of our quiet leaders amongst our great dispatching crew who does not want or seek recognition.
Last Tuesday night, he got recognized as the state’s best for 2025 regardless.
