The Wabasha-Kellogg School District asked voters to support a $16.2 million bond referendum on Tuesday.
The vote passed with 762 (61.95%) voting yes with 468 (38.05%) voting no.
The district will use the bonding for several projects.
Update and Replace Building Infrastructure and Systems, Update and Expand the Career and Technical Education Labs (Shop)
Update Science Labs
Creation of Secure Main Entrances
Add and Update Restrooms
Renovate High School Classrooms and Media Center
These projects would result in an additional $94 on the tax roll for the owner of a $150,000 home. That’s less than $8 more a month.
