The Timberwolves averted disaster with a strong overtime in Game Four of the NBA Playoffs. Minnesota stayed alive in its first round series with a 114-108 overtime win over Denver at the Target Center. Minnesota led by 12 late in the fourth quarter before the Nuggets went on a 12-0 run to force the extra frame. Anthony Edwards poured in 34 points, including a big three-point shot in the final minute of OT. Mike Conley Jr. chipped in with 19 points and eight assists. Minnesota avoided the four-game sweep and cut the Nuggets' series lead to three-games-to-one. The series shifts back to the Mile High City for Game Five tomorrow.

The Wild gave home-ice advantage back to the Dallas Stars with a 3-2 loss in Game Four of their first round series at the Xcel Energy Center. Dallas scored the first two goals of the game, but John Klingberg cut the deficit to one early in the third period. However, Dallas scored a power play goal with under four minutes left in regulation to seal the deal. Freddy Gaudreau added a goal late in the loss. The best-of-seven series is tied at two games apiece. Game Five is in Dallas tomorrow.

The Twins socked a pair of home runs in the fourth inning of their 3-1 win over the Washington Nationals at Target Field. The Twins were down by one entering the inning, but Jorge Polanco and Michael A. Taylor both went yard to give Minnesota the lead for good. Bailey Ober earned the win after giving up one run on three hits in five-and-two-thirds innings of work, and Jhoan Duran picked up his fifth save. Minnesota snapped a three-game losing streak. The Twins remain in first place in the AL Central at 12-and-10. Sonny Gray starts for Minnesota against the Yankees tonight. Hear the game on KWNG & WBHA, pre-game at 6 pm, 1st pitch at 6:40 pm.

The Bucks are hoping their star player will be ready for Game Four of the opening round playoff series against the Heat in Miami. Giannis Antetokounmpo was able to work out individually in Miami yesterday. However, coach Mike Budenholzer said the team will continue to monitor him and, "See how he wakes up tomorrow." Milwaukee is down 2-1 in the best-of-seven series. Game Four tips off from Miami Monday night.

The Packers and Jets are resuming the Aaron Rodgers trade discussions. Ian Rapoport with NFL Media reports the two sides have, "Recently re-engaged, but a deal is not imminent." Rapoport went on to say, "The two sides are at least talking - with hopes a deal can (finally) be done this week." Many believe this Friday was always the deadline as the Jets have two consecutive second-round picks in the draft.

The Brewers dropped their series to the Red Sox after a 12-5 defeat in Milwaukee. Matt Bush got the loss after surrendering four runs while recording just one out in relief. Brian Anderson slugged a pair of solo homers as Milwaukee lost two-of-three games to Boston. The Brew Crew are now second in the NL East at 15-and-7. The team opens a three-game series at home against the Tigers tonight. Colin Rea gets the start opposite Matthew Boyd.
