The City of Red Wing is reminding residents about the city’s snow emergency policy.
Police Chief Gordon Rohr says the emergency kicks in when enough snow is forecast to fall and then it kicks in just after midnight.
Rohr says signage along the streets will show whether or not people are allowed to park there during the snow emergency.
The second day of a Snow Emergency will include all Non-Snow Emergency Route streets. From 12:01 a.m. to noon, it is unlawful for any person to allow a vehicle or other obstruction to remain parked on all Non-Snow Emergency Route streets, offenders will be ticketed.
