The Red Wing School Board recently approved the 2023-2024 budget and the district's finances reflect some additional funding that the Minnesota Legislature approved in May.
The district anticipates collecting nearly $39.2 million in General Fund revenues while spending slightly more than $38.7 million. The General Fund balance is anticipated to increase from $7.99 million to $.8.34 million.
Community Education and Student Nutrition Services are down more than $200,000 each due to expenses.
The board approved hiring Lisa Rider as the new director of finance/business operations. She will start July 17.
