The filing window for Red Wing School Board candidates opened Tuesday and will run through Tuesday, July 28. 

Red Wing School Board has three at-large seats up for election.

Anyone interested in running must file an affidavit of candidacy weekdays at the District Office, 2451 Eagle Ridge Drive, Door No. 36. The District Office will have notary services available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 14, 15, 16, 20, 21 and 22 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 28.

Candidates must:

• be eligible to vote in Minnesota.

• be at least 21 years old upon assuming office.

• have maintained residence in their district for at least 30 days before the general election.

• have not filed for another office at the upcoming primary or general election (unless authorized by Minn. Stat. 367.033).

• have not been convicted of an offense for which they are required to register as a predatory offender under Minn. Stat. 243.166.
