Red Wing’s Rental Housing Inspections are ongoing and Community Development Director, Kyle Klatt, says it’s part of the Rental License Program and got underway last January.
Klatt says it calls for health and safety inspections of all rental properties every three years.
Properties on the east side of town are being inspected first this year, followed by the middle of town in 2023, and the west side of town in 2024.
Landlords will pay $40 per year per unit for the inspections.
