Red Wing Parks and Trails Survey

The City of Red Wing recently asked for your thoughts on the City’s parks and trails, and between River City Days and online surveys, 614 people answered.

Feedback included: Small neighborhood parks are very important, and the Old Fairgrounds, East End, and downtown need more play spaces.

Up-to-date equipment, well-maintained paths, and trees are priorities.

Big community parks are viewed favorably, but there's room to improve, particularly with playgrounds, trails, and bathrooms.

Most want major park trails cleared in winter, and many asked for more organized programming for all ages.

Plus, the City got multiple requests for a dog park and a bigger or additional splash pad.

They thank all who responded, your thoughts will be added into the City’s upcoming parks master plan.
