The Red Wing Fire Department received a call reporting a house on fire in the 700 Block of McSorley Street in Red Wing Sunday at 5:36 am.
Firefighters/paramedics were on the scene within 3 minutes of receiving the call.
Firefighters made entry into the home and extinguished the fire.
One occupant was transported in stable condition to Mayo Clinic Red Wing for smoke inhalation.
The home sustained minor fire damage that was contained to the kitchen area.
The cause of the fire, which originated in the kitchen, is under investigation.
