Red Wing Holiday Greens Disposal

Real Christmas trees and wreaths look vibrant and bright now, but what do you do in a month when they're dry and brown?

You head to the City's Waste Campus at 1873 Bench St. for free disposal, of course.

From Friday, December 26 to Saturday, January 17, the Waste Campus will accept your holiday greens during open hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am. to 5 pm, and Saturday, 7 am to 1 pm.

Make sure to remove any metal or wire first to qualify for free disposal.

If you prefer to have your tree picked up curbside, for a donation of $5 or more, the Red Wing Lions Club is offering tree pickup on January 10 and 17.

To participate, send a check and note specifying when your tree will be on the curb to the Lions Club c/o Brad Wronksi at 312 East Sixth Street, Red Wing.
