Four City Council seats across Red Wing are up for election this year.
The filing period for the 2026 election will be open from May 19 to June 2, making now a great time to consider whether you want to represent your neighbors at the local level.
The seats up for election are At Large Council Member, Wards 1 & 2 Council Member, Ward 3 Council Member, and Ward 4 Council Member.
The at-large seat represents all of Red Wing, and the other positions represent specific wards.
You can get more details about running for office at https://www.redwingmn.gov/, type in elections in search engine, or call City Hall at 651-385-3633 to set up a time to visit and learn more about the roles and responsibilities of a council member.
