Red Wing City Council Rules of Order

The Red Wing City Council met last Monday night and approved updates to the City Council Rules of Order and Procedures.

The updates expand the prohibition on personal attacks to any individual, clarify that the public comment time limit is up to three minutes, and confirm that moments of silence are not permitted during the public comment period.

The public comment format and decorum rules otherwise remain the same.

The Council also approved a resolution awarding $5,865,000 General Obligation Street Reconstruction Bonds, with a true interest cost of 3.69%, which was lower than anticipated.

This secures reliable financing for a variety of 2026 and 2027 street reconstruction projects.

The next meeting of the Red Wing City Council will be Monday, August 24^th at 6:30 pm.
