Red Wing Arts Artfully Aging

ree

Red Wing Arts has rolled out a new arts engagement program designed to bring high-quality interactive arts experiences directly into the residential communities of seniors.

Teaching artists, including Cherish Haskell of Red Wing Arts, visit different senior communities throughout Red Wing each month.

Classes are offered at a subsidized price and all materials are included, thanks to funding from the Wings Foundation.

Projects vary and include a mix of watercolor painting, acrylic painting, paper crafts like card making, printmaking, clay, and more. Adaptive tools and guided, hands-on instruction ensure that participants of any skill level can enjoy the projects.

So far Red Wing Arts has scheduled classes at Potter Ridge, Pier 55, and the Village Cooperative.

They are looking to expand their reach and build partnerships with more locations in the area.

If you are interested in hosting an art class, contact Molly Rivera, Clay & Creative Center Lead Coordinator, by email at molly.rivera@redwingarts.org or call (651) 309-4980.

Artfully Aging is made possible by funding from the Wings Foundation of Red Wing.
