Postal Service Stamp Out Hunger

You can help out the Red Wing Area Food Shelf or your local food shelf or pantry this weekend and you don’t even have to leave your home.

Saturday is the Stamp Out Hunger Postal Carrier Food Drive in Red Wing and other communities.

Simply leave your donation of non-perishable food in a bag near your mailbox and your letter carrier will do the rest.

Donations will all go to the Red Wing Area Food Shelf.

Every year postal carriers first drop off a bag with the date of pickup at each doorstep and then on the second Saturday of May pick up the generous donations given by our community by their mailboxes.

Since 1993, the Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive has been the U.S.’s largest one-day drive.
