Plainview Water Main Break

The City of Plainview experienced a water main break on West Broadway in front of Gopher Lanes Bowling Alley on Monday.

The Plainviw Public Works Department is currently working on the water leak and while they were backfilling the site, it was discovered there were additional leaks detected in the area.

As of Wednesday afternoon, they were still trying to figure out where the additonal leaks are coming from and it will require city staff to dig portions of the area to locate and repair any leaks.

Water service will be interupted for businesses and residents in the affected area for an indeterminate amount of time.
