Petal it Forward Iniative

Petal it forward is a nationwide initiative to spread joy - this year it will take place on Wednesday right here in SE Minnesota.

Floral businesses across the country will participate by giving away two flowers or bouquets to members of the community tomorrow.

The Flower Cottage and Tux Shop, 27711 County 16 Blvd, Goodhue, 1 mile east of Bellechester, is getting involved in the event.

There will be folks handing out free flowers Wednesday in Zumbrota, Goodhue and Lake City to passerbys or you can stop in to the Flower Cottage and Tux Shop tomorrow for yours.

The recipient gets to keep one flower for themselves and is encouraged to "petal it forward" by giving the second to someone else who could benefit from a moment of happiness.
