PEM Teacher Hinrichs Mentor Award

The Minnesota Association of Agricultural Educators (MAAE) recently awarded the Minnesota Association of Agricultural Educators Outstanding Teacher Mentor Award to PEM High School Agriculture instructor Steve Hinrichs.

He is among State award nominees who will be announced this month during the Summer MAAE Conference in St. Cloud. Each State Award winner will represent Minnesota within the Region III competition, made up of six states.

If selected, they will represent Region III at the National Association of Agricultural Educators Conference, to be held from Dec. 1-5 in New Orleans.

Hinrichs said he’s honored to receive this award and he added  “It shows the impact our PEM  program has had on young people as they look at agricultural education as a career option."
