PEM Schools Mold Air Quality Test

Plainview-Elgin-Millville Community Schools reports it has found mold in its pre-k through third grade building in Plainview.

According to Superintendent Courtney Frie, the district is awaiting results from an air quality test conducted Tuesday.

Two weeks ago, the district says some carpets were showing signs of mold and immediately cleaned.

The district contacted an environmental consultant to complete air quality testing.

KTTC reports testing reportedly showed a few treated areas still had elevated mold levels and Clean Response Restoration started extensive cleaning.

Frie said elementary conferences were still held last Tuesday and Wednesday outside of classrooms as a precaution.
