PEM School Board members approved a revised 2025-2026 budget during their monthly meeting on Feb. 9.

According to the Plainview News, the revision was due to unexpected expenses for mold remediation and tuck pointing, a change in enrollment, salary negotiations, and the addition of Minnesota's new Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program.

PFML, which took effect Jan. 1, provides nearly all workers up to 20 weeks of combined paid, partially wage-replaced time off (12 weeks maximum for medical, and 12 weeks for family).
