North Bench Street Lane Closure

The southbound traffic lane of North Bench Street in Red Wing at Highway 61 will be closed today as crews install equipment for the intersection’s traffic signal, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

North Bench Street’s southbound lane will reopen later in the day once the equipment is installed in the road.

The construction work is related to the Highway 61 Withers Harbor bridge project that wrapped up major work in Red Wing last month.

Full construction is scheduled to resume in 2024. Crews replaced the northbound bridge this year and will replace the southbound bridge over Withers Harbor Drive in Red Wing in 2024.
