National Weather Service SKYWARN Training

The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities is still looking for storm spotters for the spring and summer severe weather season.


SKYWARN is a volunteer program that help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the NWS.


SKYWARN classes are free and last around 2 ½ hours.


Training will be in Cannon Falls at the Christ United Methodist Church at 29470 Gaylord Avenue Saturday, April 13th beginning at 9 am.


On Tuesday, April 16th Skywarn Training is in Spring Valley, WI (Pierce County). The class will be held at Spring Valley Area Ambulance, S407 Newman Ave from 6- 8 pm


On Monday, April 22nd, Skywarn Training will be in Zumbrota at Zumbrota Fire at 1400 Jefferson Drive starting at 6:30 pm.
