To celebrate the holiday season, the National Eagle Center is hosting special kids activities each Saturday from November 30 to Christmas.
With the recent completion of their brand new life-sized Bald Eagle nest, the Center is inviting families to visit the eagles and start a new nest tradition by getting photos with Santa Claus and his helper SKY in the nest.
Opportunities for photos will be available each Saturday from Noon to 1 p.m.
There will be a variety of kids activities throughout the month, with different activities each Saturday.
These will include a pine cone bird feeder creation station from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 30, a button-making station on December 7, a bird find and scavenger hunt on December 14, and a story time and book-signing with author Laura Fredrickson on December 21 for her new book On The Shortest Day.
The Center will host a story time for kids near the nest each Saturday at Noon.
The Center is currently on its winter schedule, closed on Tuesdays. The Center is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the rest of the week.
