Every year, Minnesota State College Southeast presents Strings, Winds & Brass at the historic Sheldon Theatre, an opportunity for the college’s students to share their wide-ranging musical talents with the Red Wing community.
This year the show is on Friday, March 21, at 7 pm.
MSC Southeast's signature musical instrument repair programs draw students from across the United States and beyond, many with advanced music education and performance degrees. These talented students form the core of the ensembles performing at Strings, Winds & Brass.
True to the concert’s name, several string, woodwind and brass ensembles have been selected to perform, as well as a number of groups featuring vocal harmonies.
Soloists on French horn, violin, and flute will be featured. Drillpit, a metal/punk “deathcore” band, is expected to add an element of contrast to the show.
Tickets are available online now at SheldonTheatre.org.
Adult prices are $17 and students through college age are $6. Ticket prices include fees.
All seats are general admission; doors open a half-hour before the show.
