Minnesota State College Southeast and a local partner, the Jones Family Foundation, are both excited about the Red Wing College Promise and so far, it’s been popular.
MSC Southeast President, Dr. Marsha Danielson, says the program will guarantee access to a college education at MSC Southeast, both campuses and online, to every qualifying student… and be a 2023 (or later) graduate of a Red Wing public high school (Red Wing High School, Tower View Alternative High School, 5RiversOnline, or River Bluff Education Center with a diploma indicating Red Wing Public Schools)
Danielson says they they are already seeing a positive response, with 56 current students signed up and another 50 signed up for this fall.
Danielson says a state run free tuition program, North Star Promise, is coming this fall and will open to everyone.
