Med-City Auctions Toys for Tots

Elgin-based Med-City Auctions recently donated hundreds of gifts and gift cards for economically disadvantaged area kids through the national Marine Corps Toys for Tots program this Christmas.

A drop-off site at Peoples State Bank in Elgin was overflowing with gifts and gift cards from Med-City Auctions.

The Plainview News reports Med-City Auctions staff  donated $1,140 in tips earned from sales on an online app, Whatnot.com, and co-owners Mike and Heidi donated several toys.

Toys for Tots was established by the Marine Corps Reserve in 1991. People can drop off  unwrapped new toys or gift cards at sites including Peoples State Bank during the Christmas season.
