Lake City Cookies and Milk Fest

Anne Tabat has organized Lake City’s first annual Cookies and Milk Festival Saturday in Ohuta Park.
This all-free event is dedicated to simple goodness and healthy living in a city that has celebrated these qualities since the introduction of water skiing in 1922 and honeycrisp apples in the 1990s.
The morning kicks off at 10 am with outdoor yoga, 11 am, it’s a Lakefront Walk & Talk from Kelly’s Lake House Bar & Grill and back.
The Cookies and Milk Fest concession stand opens at noon and it’s all FREE.
Cookies are donated by Lake City bakers and the Wabasha and Goodhue County Dairy Associations are providing milk served by their Dairy Ambassadors.
At 1 pm, Lake City retailers will showcase stylish apparel in a free-style fashion show, bring lawn chairs.
The afternoon features kids games by Anytime Fitness at 2 pm, the Prairie Street Jazz Band, featuring students and alumni, performs at 3 pm followed by a Lake City Hitorical Society Tour of Lake City’s retail district at 4 pm.
The fun free event wraps up at 5 pm with a communty picnic which will feature a sing-a-long with local musicians and members of the Community Choir.
Other highlights include a pet kissing booth, bookmobile, sidewalk art, bubbles and prizes.
