Lake City Christmas Family Blessings

A Lake City woman is spearheading a grass roots effort to bless families in Lake City who may need some assistance this holiday season.

Missy Totenhagen says two Lake City families, who will remain anonymous, have been chosen and she is hoping people who are able, will donate holiday gifts and toys to be given out the week before Christmas.

Missy says she is working with the Best Christmas Ever organization to assist in planning.

There are flyers up at Mercy & Grace Boutique, Cute Chiq Boutique, Lake City Pearl Button Company and Wild Wings Place with a QR code.

Totenhagen says there is Christmas tree and donation box inside Kennedy Drug by Sterling,  223 S Lakeshore Drive.

She says the tree is decorated with ornaments that have a wish tag attached, take one and return it. No need to wrap gifts and you  can bring monetary gifts to the pharmacy counter and the staff will know what to do with it.

Ideally they would like to have all gifts collected by Wednesday, December 10.
