The Red Wing City Council recently held their two day annual workshop to look back on 2023 and forward to the new year.
City Council Administrator, Kay Kuhlmann, says they brainstormed on Council priorities, initiatives and goals for the upcoming year and updating the city’s Strategic Plan.
Kuhlmann says the Red Wing Pickleball group now have private commitments of $299,000 toward the total estimated cost of $400,000 to build 6 new pickleball courts at Colvill Park and the project is moving forward.
Kuhlmann says some other agenda items on the City Council’s workshop included updates on the Rental Housing Program and Parking Study, the City-School relationship with Community Education and summer hours for some City operations.
