The 77th Annual Kellogg Watermelon Festival is scheduled for this week, kicking off Friday and running through Sunday.
Food vendors and activities get underway at 5 pm Friday, Kids Craft Corner kicks off at 6 pm followed by the Burn Out Contest at 7 pm and free fireworks at 9:45 pm.
From 8 pm – midnight Friday, Outland performs on the mainstage for the free street dance.
Carnival rides open Friday at 5 pm and at 11 am Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday’s highlights include the Men’s Softball Tournament at 8 am, Antique Tractor Ride sendoff at 9:30 am, 5k Watermelon Run at 10:30 am, and at 8 pm Legacy of the Loud performs.
Sunday wraps the Festival up with the Car Show from 9 am-1 pm, the Grand Parade at 2 pm followed by free watermelon and Kids Pedal Pull. Southbound Country & Rockin’ Hep Cats perform from 4 - 8 pm for a free street dance.
