Boys & Girls Golf Section 1AA Meet @ Northern Hills in Rochester:
The Lake City girls are Section 1AA champions once again. The two time defending state AA champs had a two day score of 656 with Byron a distant second at 709. Red Wing was fourth with a 762.
Jordana Windhorst-Knudsen of Lake City was the medalist with a 159. Ella Matzke of Lake City was third with a 164, Emma Berge of the Tigers was fourth with a 166 and Brooke Bee of Lake City was fifth with a 166.
The Pine Island-Zumbrota-Mazeppa boys won the Section 1AA championship with a 610.
Colton Rich of Rochester Lourdes was the medalist with a 143...one shot ahead of runner up John Ahrens of Red Wing with a 144. Braxton Berlin of Lake City won a playoff over teammate Noah Wallerich to earn the final individual spot for the state tournament.
The state tournament is June 13-14 at The Ridges of Sand Creek in Jordan.
