The Timberwolves are just two wins away from winning their first playoff series in two decades. Jaden McDaniels dropped in a game-high 25 points as the Wolves topped the Suns 105-93 in Game Two of their First Round series in Minnesota. Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley added 18 points apiece for the Wolves, who take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven set. The series heads to Phoenix for Game Three on Friday.
The Minnesota Twins came through in the clutch during a 6-5 come-from-behind win over the Chicago White Sox at Target Field. Minnesota trailed by three entering the bottom of the eighth. Trevor Larnach smashed a two-run home run during the frame to bring the Twins within one, and Byron Buxton tied the game with a solo blast in the ninth. Later in the inning, Alex Kirilloff hit a walk-off RBI single to win the game. Jay Jackson earned his first win in relief as the Twins have won three of four. Joe Ryan starts for the 9-and-13 Twins tonight.
