Representative Barb Haley has announced her endorsement of Jesse Johnson to succeed her as State Representative for the Red Wing area.
The new district is 20A and includes Goodhue and Wabasha counties.
Johnson, a decorated Army veteran who grew up in Cannon Falls, returned after his Army career to raise his family there.
Haley announced her retirement in May after three terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives, serving in leadership roles including Minority Whip.
