City Manager Job Finalist
Red Wing’s City Council Administrator, Chris Heineman, who was finalist for a job in Austin, MN, will be staying in Red Wing.
The Austin City Council voted unanimously on Monday to hire Eric Ellis as their new City Administrator.
Ellis, a former city manager for Vineyard, Utah, has relocated to Minnesota after his wife received a residency at Mayo Clinic.
Heineman was hired by the City of Red Wing in January of 2025 and started the job on March 3rd of 2025.
