The United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, and Pierce Counties Packing for the Weekend program for kids got a big boost last month.
Jim Scheck, Chairperson of the Greater Lake City Community Foundation, says a generous individual came through with a $10,000 matching amount.
Scheck says the same person has agreed to donate funds to help pay for the program again this year.
The United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, and Pierce Counties Packing for the Weekend program is in seven area schools and is serving over 200 kids a month.
