The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office’s new K9 dog now has a name.
People could leave a comment on their Facebook page and they got over 500 suggestions.
The winning name was Yoda and he is a Shepard and Malinois mix. The Sheriff’s Office commented the name fit well due to his “perfectly big ears.”
Training for Yoda is anticipated to take 15 weeks which means you can expect to see him out in Goodhue County sometime right before summer 2024.
He will be trained in apprehension and narcotics.
