Goodhue County Latest Scam Alert

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of scam callers pretending to be deputies from their office.

The phone number may come up as an unknown number.

These callers may claim you missed jury duty, have a warrant, or owe fines and demand immediate payment over the phone.

Remember, the Sheriff’s Office will NEVER:

• Demand payment by gift cards, cryptocurrency, or payment apps

• Threaten immediate arrest over the phone

• Pressure you to stay on the line while making payments

If you receive a suspicious call:

Hang up immediately and protect yourself, do not give out personal or financial information.
