With a rise in phishing and scam emails popping up in people’s inboxes, Goodhue County seeks to reassure the public of their communication with them.
Â
Beginning in late February 2024 and ending in late March 2024, Goodhue County is beginning the transition of our email addresses to .gov.
Â
Doing so ensures security backing with the Federal government, establishes credibility in communications, and makes our County eligible for more grant funding opportunities.
Â
Members of the public can still reach Goodhue County staff by using the @co.goodhue.mn.us but all responses will come from a .gov account
Â
This is a great move by Goodhue County! Transitioning to .gov will definitely help increase security and build trust, especially with the rise in phishing and scam attempts. It's good to know that communication will still be seamless during the transition, with both the old and new email domains in use. This change will also open up new opportunities for the County in terms of grant funding, which is always a plus. Kudos to Goodhue County for prioritizing security and transparency in their communications! https://templatecalendar.com/
