Law enforcement is constantly trying to make the public aware of all the clever scams but people often are still being fooled into giving out private information and/or money.
Goodhue County Sheriff's Office Community Engagement Deputy, Jen Jannett, says scammers are using technology to their advantage. She says they can make it look like the call is coming from the Sheriff’s Office on your phone.
One aspect of her position, added to the Sheriffs Office in 2021, Deputy Jannett really enjoys, is talking with kids in our area schools.
Community engagement in Goodhue County is in many forms including events such as Fishing with a Deputy, the County Fair, National Night out, Patrolling our communities on a bike, Coffee with a Deputy, Home premise surveys, and so many other things.
