Former Central Research Building

The Red Wing City Council recently approved property tax abatements and the purchase of a general obligation tax abatement bond to support the demolition work of the former Central Research building.

The goal is to provide redevelopment opportunities, attracting new businesses or expanding current businesses.

The Red Wing Port Authority considers the property "some of the most desirable light industrial property in the City of Red Wing,".

City staff estimated that demolition and environmental work will cost $232,000.
