Fall Color Changes

Greg Taylor

It’s still a little early but the changing of the leaves in southeast Minnesota has started.

As of Tuesday, in Goodhue County, most areas are still in the 10-25% category.

According to the Fall Color Finder on the Minnesota DNR website, Wabasha County’s fall colors range from 10-50%, Dakota county is 0-25% and in Olmsted County, two-thirds are at 25-50% peak with the remainder 10-25%.

The typical dates for peak fall colors in southeast Minnesota is early to mid October.
