Fall Color Changes

People who wait all year for the changing of the leaves in southeast Minnesota will be glad to hear this is the week where most of the area is at peak color or close to it.


According to the Fall Color Finder on the Minnesota DNR site, as of Monday, the eastern half of Goodhue County is at 50-75% peak and the western half is now at 75-100%.


The northern half and the far eastern portion of Wabasha County is at 50-75% peak with remainder at 75-100%.


The eastern half of Winona County is still at 50-75% peak with the western half at 75-100% peak.


90% of Olmsted County is now between 75-100% peak and so is Rice County.
