Fall Color Changes

Greg Taylor

The changing of the leaves in southeast Minnesota is getting closer to peak colors.

As of this week, most areas in SE Minnesota are still in the 50-75% category but some parts are further along.

According to the Fall Color Finder on the Minnesota DNR website, the majority of Dakota, eastern half of Goodhue, and entire Wabasha, Winona, and all but the most southern part of Olmsted counties, are at 50-75%.

Southern Dakota, western Goodhue and all of Rice counties leaves are at 75-100% peak colors
