Elgin Quilts of Honor

Several veterans received Quilts of Honor during a ceremony on Oct. 1 during the monthly meeting of American Legion Post 573 in Elgin.

According to the Plainview News, the quilts were created by members of the local Piecemakers quilt club.

The Quilts of Honor were created to thank the veterans for their service, courage, and valor.

The Piecemakers Club meets at 1 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at Church of Christ in Plainview and all are welcome to join.
